Squamish RCMP and Squamish Search and Rescue crews are continuing to search for the young man who fell into the Squamish River early on May 13.
So far, there has been no sign of him.
The man in his 20s was camping with some friends up the Ashlu Forest Service Road, at about the 200 marker, when he fell backward two or three metres into the rushing river at about 1 a.m. May 13, according to police.
He has been missing ever since.
“There are daily efforts being made by Squamish RCMP as well as coinciding searches from Squamish SAR,” said Cpl. Sascha Banks in a news release on Wednesday.
The Squamish RCMP has been assisted by the police helicopter, Air One, which has combed over the area multiple times, Banks said.
The RCMP has also conducted boat and land searches with a police dog and uniformed officers.
No public sightings have been reported, according to Banks.
