Delta police responded to a single-vehicle accident just before 9 a.m. last Saturday in the 5600-block of Ladner’s Admiral Boulevard after the driver of a van drove into the front yard of a residence. Officers administered an approved screening device to the driver who blew a “0” and stated the accident was caused by a coughing fit. The driver was issued a violation ticket for driving without due care. The van was towed and the driver left the scene on foot.
