Keith Higgins is an artist, business owner, and veteran manager of artist-run organizations in Vancouver. A former business consultant with clients in financial services, marketing, public opinion research, and advertising, he spearheaded the successful revival of the venerable Helen Pitt Gallery as UNIT/PITT Projects in 2011. With his wife Kathy Slade, he operates Publication Studio Vancouver, an internationally-recognized publisher of artists' books and editions.
Keith knows that Vancouverites need real transparency and fairness at city hall, and want real action on housing affordability. He is running for Councillor with the Coalition of Progressive Electors (COPE). A COPE council would introduce measures to protect industrial land and jobs, implement a plan for protecting cultural spaces, and most importantly take decisive steps to deal with Vancouver's housing emergency.
