Lena is a first generation Canadian with over 14 years experience as an educator, teaching both overseas and in the BC public school system; she currently works as the service delivery manager at Special Education Technology British Columbia.
Born to immigrant parents, who came to Canada with little more than the clothes on their backs, Lena learned through her upbringing the importance of hard work, perseverance, and honesty.
Lena believes that Vancouver needs an Independent voice to represent the needs of hard working, middle-class families trying to make ends meet. She believes in a fiscally responsible City Council and in making the city affordable for those who live, work, and raise families here. As a resident of Vancouver for over a decade, who is married with two children, Lena is committed to making Vancouver an inclusive and prosperous city to live in.
