Candidate: Vancouver Park Board
Trevor Loke
Trevor Loke.

Trevor Loke, the current Chair of Park Board Committee, was first elected at the age of 22. Trevor and the Vision Vancouver team have provided greater access to parks and recreation for all, expanded parks and green spaces in our city, and delivered balanced budgets year after year.

Trevor serves as the liaison to eight civic boards, associations and advisory committees. As Commissioner, Trevor has successfully led initiatives to reduce the use of chemicals in pools, bring free public WiFi to Vancouver, and improve customer service and accessibility for community centre users. Trevor has played a leadership role in helping to improve trans and gender-variant inclusivity in Vancouver's parks and community centres.

Recognized for his work as a community and business leader nationally, Trevor has twice been named one of British Columbia’s Top 30 Under 30, and was profiled in Maclean’s Magazine as one of Canada’s “future leaders” in 2014. Outside of his work as Commissioner, Trevor runs a small business and serves on the Board of Directors at YouthCO, a public health and education organization.

Trevor lives with his partner in the West End and enjoys reading, playing hockey, and spending time with friends and family.
